POSITION SUMMARY:
This position provides leadership in the development, improvement, maintenance, coordination, and support for the district’s technology integration instructional priorities and strategic goals. Serves as the primary communication, training, and teaching link between the district and schools to address any issues, needs, or challenges related to integrated technology, digital resources, training, and follow-up support of district adopted technology. This position reports to the Director of Instructional Technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
Directs and leads direct-reports (CCPS-employed or contracted) in developing and curating digital content for training and supporting end users. Provides knowledge and models educational/instructional technology integration, along with best practices, to support instruction directly to those supporting classroom teachers. Directs and leads direct-reports to provide training opportunities for teachers and other relevant district staff to model best practices for instructional delivery. Delegates requested on-site or virtual, technical support based upon technology work order submissions and other methods for requesting support. Assists direct-reports in performing on-site technical support needed to implement district-supported digital resources, as needed.
Supports and maintains the Instructional Technology website; organizes and supports the creation and distribution of technology-related marketing items. Supports and provides training for CCPS staff on the district’s learning management system. Creates appropriate documentation, communication, and marketing of Technology Department services, initiatives, and support. Develops implementation strategies and approaches for the district’s learning management system that best supports instructional and operational practices.
Works closely with and assists the Teaching & Learning and Strategic Improvement staff with the implementation of district digital resources. Works collaboratively with the Content Coordinators and Lead Teachers to plan and prepare for integrating technology to support the core curriculum and CCPS programs through training opportunities for classroom teachers.
Works collaboratively with the Director of Instructional Technology to create a strong alliance with the Information Systems, Technical Operations, and Enterprise Information System teams in the Department of Technology to support the goals of the district. Attends and participates in school board meetings, district committees, and task forces as required.

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required in appropriately related educational, educational leadership, educational technology, or instructional technology field required. Master’s degree or higher in Instructional Technology preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated successful experience in the area of educational/instructional technology (training, consulting, supporting), with a high concentration in digital learning skills required.
GaPSC certification at Level 4 or higher in core content, media/technology, instructional technology, or educational leadership required.
Research industry trends to evaluate and make decisions and recommendations that routinely affect the activities of others. Supervisor is available to review established departmental and/or organizational objectives.
Independent judgement is required to recommend departmental or organizational strategies and objectives.
Requires regular contact with internal and external personnel of importance and influence.
Highly complex: Responsible for leading, directing, and developing skills of direct-reports. Responsible for providing a high level of supervision for multiple personnel and functions within the department and the district.
Researches, applies, implements, and provides instruction on highly advanced technology concepts and methodologies. Utilize various media production tools including but not limited to Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva for Education, social media tools, and Google Workspace.
Normal office setting.
Moderate travel across the district with occasional travel for off-site training.
Light duty - On most occasions sitting at a desk or table; intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. Intermittent walking is required. Moderate lifting or carrying; fifty (50) lbs. or less.
NOTE: This is a grade 30, 225-day position that pays for experience up to a Step 8.
