POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides assistance in the Staffing Unit in processing; tracking applications; initiating all classified positions; processing Personnel Action Requests (PARs); establishes new employee records; completes hiring approvals and associated notifications; assists with onboarding of new employees; and maintains classified staffing rosters. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Initiates and completes hiring process for all classified positions in the applicant tracking system; Initiates personnel action entry for all classified positions in Munis; Generates and distributes all related communications.
Creates and maintains staffing rosters for classified staff within the District; serves as liaison with District personnel to ensure accurate staffing.
Creates and updates platforms, databases, and reports to monitor classified staffing activities. Prepares reports for department heads upon request. Works with HR Analysts and Position Control Coordinator on various related staffing activities.
Provides data related to classified staffing and makes informed recommendations regarding staffing needs.
All other duties, as assigned and required, in order to perform the above responsibilities.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED required. Associates degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience in a K-12 environment preferred.
Requires regular, frequent contact with internal personnel of influence and decision-making responsibility to discuss issues of moderate importance; requires continuing contact with officials at higher levels. Excellent interpersonal skills are required for working with teams.

NOTE: This is a grade 22, 225 day position that pays for experience up to a Step 4.
