POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides support in the development and coordination of the health services program for schools; Identifies the health care needs of students and the availability of health services/resources.  This position reports to the Lead Supervising Healthcare Professional.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides direct support to students regarding the response to and contact tracing for COVID-19.

 

Audits immunization records for PreK - 12 grades. Notifies parents of students with inadequate immunization and provides resources for parents to get students’ immunizations up to date. Inputs students’ immunization records into Infinite Campus, assisting with managing Online Registration Site (OLR) for the Student Health Program.

 

Supports the improvement of record-keeping and data retrieval of student health records and data.

 

Serves as a resource to parents and teachers concerning health problems of students.

 

All other duties, as assigned and required, in order to perform the above services.

 

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Associates degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.     

 

Minimum of two (2) years Registered Nurse experience required; pediatric, adolescent, public health, or 3-5 years supervisory healthcare experience preferred.

 

Makes decisions or recommendations and takes actions that often affect the activities of others.

 

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Georgia and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

 

High level of judgment is necessary.

 

Requires regular, frequent contact with internal personnel of influence and decision-making responsibility to discuss issues of moderate importance.  Excellent interpersonal skills are required for interacting and working with various levels of individuals.
