POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for implementing and maintaining district hardware, software, networking equipment, and other related devices. Has knowledge of operating systems, network infrastructure, mass deployment strategies, security strategies, and productivity software. Assists in proper and efficient resolution of problems. Ensures resolution of end user problems and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Coordinator of Technical Operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Implements and maintains district hardware, software, networking equipment, and other related devices to ensure that district technology goals are achieved. Provides computing installation, configuration, and break fix services to faculty, staff, students, and administrative users.
Manages and maintains documentation for all locations including inventory of hardware, software, and other systems. Demonstrates a knowledge of desktop, network topologies and deployment strategies. Ensures the use of software deployment tools to manage software installations throughout the district.
Works with technicians and other technical staff to identify and resolve problems. Shares information relevant to these problems with appropriate personnel.
Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction for all end users. Uses communication appropriate to audience delivered in a friendly and courteous manner with a consistent positive attitude.
All other duties, as assigned and required, in order to perform the above services.
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED required.
IT experience in an educational environment is preferred. Must possess troubleshooting skills and a working technical knowledge of network/hardware/software systems within Microsoft Windows and Apple environments. Must possess customer relations, time management, and communication skills.
Makes moderate decisions and recommendations which affect the activities of others. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with technology staff, administrators, and school personnel.
Industry certification by Microsoft\Cisco preferred. Must have and maintain a valid Georgia Driver’s License.

NOTE: This is a grade 22, 225 day position that pays for experience up to a Step 4.
